THE NORWEGIAN FORDS (TNF) is: Erik Enzo and Paul Call.
Put short, TNF plays catchy, Californian retro-pop, with a hint of jazz, accompanied by quirky lyrics on familiar subjects.
Their self-titled debut album was mixed by Grammy Award-winning Bill Schnee at Schnee Studios in Hollywood, LA. The album was mastered at the world famous Mastering Lab, in LA, by another Grammy-winner, Robert Hadley. This goes for the the upcoming album "Somewhere down the road you'll listen" as well (release: 1st April 2011).Thanks to Bill and Robert, the albums has got California written all over it!
But before TNF got lucky, and got in touch with Bill and Robert, Erik Enzo met agent Margrethe Wam Fjell in LA. She set up a writing session with pop lyricist Roxanne Seeman. Later on Seeman put Erik in touch with David Lasley (a great songwriter, and James Taylor's backup vocalist for years). David fell in love with the music, and took Erik and the songs of TNF to Bill Schnee. Thanks, guys!
Also a big hand to Steve Porcaro. TNF met him at a songwriter convention in LA, before all the other things (mentioned above) happened. Porcaro's (almost unbelievably) great feedback and sheer enthusiasm to TNF's music, in mails and through meetings, really got TNF going.
Erik Enzo: Vocals, keyboards, songwriter.
Next to TNF, Erik has released 4 pop albums in Norway with the band Elle melle, performing over 150 live concerts. Erik has been interviewed on nationally broadcasted radio more than 25 times, and has appeared on nationally broadcasted TV 6 times. Several of his songs have been A-listed on radio, nationwide in Norway.
Paul Call: Guitars, songwriter, lyricist.
Paul writes all TNF lyrics, before co-writing the music with Erik.
Paul have also collaborated wirh Erik on other projects ,like Elle Melle, mainly as a lyricist. Next to his passion for playing and song-writing, Paul works as copywriter, to keep The Norwegian Fords rolling, until songwriting pays off...
